Language Proficiency Requirements – IELTS / TOEFL

Standardized Tests

Application Process & Timeline
- 12 months before intake: Research programs and universities on official sites like studyinhungary.hu or university websites.
- Application submission: Apply online during the respective intake application windows.
- Prepare required documents: Passport, academic transcripts, CV, SOP, LORs, language test scores, medical certificate, and proof of finances.
- Application fee: Pay the required non-refundable fee (varies by university).
- Admission result: Admission decisions are usually announced within 1–3 months after the application deadline.
- Visa application: Once admitted, apply for a student visa/residence permit through the Hungarian embassy or consulate.
- Arrival: Students can arrive up to 1 month before the program start date.
